This course covers balance and how it affects the human mobility. It is intended to relate to balance as it pertains to the use in Orthotics and Prosthetics. You will find this course very useful in your practice. By the end of this course the learner will: Understand 3 major balance systems and how they assist with static/dynamic balance; Review medical conditions that could impact balance and client safety; Review different interventions for clients with balance deficits; Gain appreciation of balance disorders and their inherent risk to the aging population.
